Client:
Moreton Bay Regional Council is Australia’s 3rd largest municipal government. Its Division of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance uses many of the same templates for correspondence, reports, briefs, public notices and tenders.
Challenge:
The only style guide on hand was from Pine Rivers council, prior to amalgamation with the other two councils. That was being used as a base guide however there had been many staff changes and procedural changes since the latest revision and a new Moreton Bay Regional Council Style Guide was required for the ECM Division.
Solution:
Using the now defunct style guide as a base to work off, the new guide was created with the current logo, templates, and procedural updates. Lengthy consultation was taken with the PA to the Director and revisions were made to ensure the final document was the most current and accurate version of procedures and templates. As a result, all administrative staff could easily find out instructions on how to go about specialist communications and who the chief stakeholders to approve or cc were and the timelines required.
